As Shelley prepares to marry nasty Charlie, a Corrie match surely doomed to end in disaster, their stag and hen nights reveal the true nature of bride and groom.

Shelley spends her hen night worrying about the fact that Charlie has asked her to choose between therapy and marriage. Zack, her therapist, has been banned from the wedding by the ghastly Charlie, who is presumably worried that he'll make Shelley see sense.

At the hen night, the girls finally tell Shelley what they really think of her husband-to-be, leaving the poor bride at a loss as to what to do.

Meanwhile Charlie leaves his stag night to seduce another woman and take her to bed. He too wakes up wondering what to do.

A Corrie insider said: "Charlie is lying in bed with another woman and full of dread for the day ahead. He is afraid that Shelley would not be able to live without him and decides to make tracks."

Shelley herself prepares for the wedding by downing a pill and brandy chaser in the Rovers, but she'll need more than Dutch courage to survive life with Charlie.

As the story has shown Charlie has put her down so much she has lost all self asteem, she no longer feels she can think for herself, scared that she may upset the disgusting Charlie, this storyline shows that even the strongest woman can be manipulated till they are in the same position that Shelley is in, I know this as I watched my friend who was very strong and very outgoing cut everyone out of her life and live life as a hermit, luckily she saw sence and got shot of him and is nearly back to herself thank goodness. :cheer:

Enough already! Charlie and Shelley was boring after 2 weeks, I wish the writers would end it and just put everyone out of their misery. I'm not alone in my thinking, all my friends and work colleagues are all fed up to the back teeth with this storyline as I am. Come on Granada kill it off once and for all, do us all a favour. No one cares about Shelley, she should have left him ages ago and because she has'nt you don't feel sorry for her, she's made her bed etc.

I do I think its a terrific well written and very accurately portrayed storyline

bevs face when shelley told her she was getting married. That cracked me up.

Its a really great storyline but i think its time to be drawn to an end. The wedding should be great whatever way it ends.

i think everyone turns up. violet and her mum mention what Charlie is like.
Yeah she has hardley any friends but who do you have to blame Charlie.

I'm glad that Shelley and Sunita have made up. Now we just need Shelley to ditch Charlie and get together with Zack. :D
