Do you remember when they changed the original (blonde) Pippa to the dark haired one we all know and love. In a couple of weeks the old Hayley will be a long forgotton memory
I think its not so much about the character change i dont think we would all mind quite as much if they had chosen someone who looks at least a little like Bec. Obviously no-one can take her place but they could have at least sorted the casting properly!

They changed the actor who played Flynn and everyone got used to him pretty quickly.
I didn't! I prefer the old Flynn :crying: And that Hayley looks nothing like Hayley!!! I HATE it when they do this!

I thought the old flynn was hot, and he had a nicer voice. He also had that slightly messy look going on and it looked good in contrast to sally's neat.

I have nothing against the girl who is potraying the new Hayley, but I can't get over the fact that she has red hair! I really like Rebecca Cartwright, I just hope this new actress doesn't wreck the character.

It's better to have a good actress that looks nothing like Bec than a rubbish actress that's the spitting image!
i think its a good idea. At least we dont lose a great character. I think it may take time to get used to but will be worth it in the end.

Yes it is a bit random, if it was a blond haired actress the fact that she has a completely different face wouldn't be as noticible! I wonder if the other characters will comment on her hair colour or say she's had a makeover :lol:
Probably will comment on her hair but not on the exterme life changing makeover. No one will notice

Will Rebecca Cartwright be returning after she has had her baby or is this a permanent re-cast. I thought they did it with the actresswho played Rebecca Nash a few years ago and then the original returned, I think it happened with Mitch aswell.
I think she has left for good but dont quote me on that

I don't think she is coming back as if she was than they would not have found a new hayley and they would have found one like the hayley now, but it does not look like it going to happen.

I just realised that that post was meant to go on another thread, I must have got them mixed up :wall:. Sorry for the confusion! I know Rebecca Cartwright has never appeared in Emmerdale or Coronation street.
The new Hayley looks pretty but she could be Kits secret twin, its scary how alike they look. She's gonna take some getting used to......I still haven't gotten over Flynn swap yet and that was years ago.

i agree. I prefer the new flynn. When new actors take over it just takes time to get used to them.

yeah that is why they thought there was still too many possible storylines for haylie so they re cast the role
The obly reason I thought maybe she was coming back was that I swear i remember in Home and Away once they recast a role and then the original actress came back? Am I going mad?

no they rew cast the roles of ailsa selina and rebecca while the actresses were ill then they returned but this time she has been replaced for good

p.s bec was on screen right up till ella took over a few weeks ago writers had said there would be a break of around 6 months before the next actress would appear as her but it didnt happen this way prob cause haylie was in the middle of a load of storylines i.e she is late on in her pregnancy, scott is soon to discover that he is the father of her baby and she was about to have a life threatening op (that she didn't go ahead with)
