From ITV website (perhaps should have a sticky?)

Monday 22nd August
Charlie books Shelley a therapist who arrives that afternoon (remember Ralph Ineson from The Office? It’s him!).

Charlie assumes that he’s going to be involved in the session, but Zack gently tells him to leave them to it, which he does, reluctantly.

Shelley is soon at ease with Zack as she tells him that she gets very frightened in certain situations. Zack reassures her and their session goes well. Nosy Charlie wants to hear all about it when Zack leaves, but of course he tells the builder nothing.

Meanwhile, Gail is still simmering following her run-in with Eileen as they compete over foot-man Phil. Somehow overnight, though, she has turned into a bit of a psycho and reports him to the practice manager for being unprofessional and fraternising with one of their patients! Good way to pull someone, Gail...

Over in the Rovers and Mike is bonding with Jamie and he later admits to Penny that he’d like to help the youngster out, just like he does with Adam, but is scared of being discovered.

And finally, Adam has a ‘boring’ haircut for his driving test while Candice informs him that she doesn’t find him remotely attractive! She’s still a cow then!

After telling Adam that she didn’t find him attractive just hours before, Candice now believes he’s the one for her!

And what has brought about this change of heart? Has she suddenly realised that he has the best personality in the world?

Oh no, it’s nothing as warming as that – Audrey mentions to her that Adam has a lucrative career ahead of him as he will eventually inherit the factory. Fickle Candice is out of that shop quicker than you can say ‘Underworlds’!

Meanwhile, Charlie tries to get out of Shelley what she and Zack talked about in her session, but she merely tells him that he was nice. He reminds her that he’s not paying good money for her just to ‘have a bit of company’.

Zack pops by later that day to drop in some tapes. She uses the opportunity to try one of the tasks he’s set for her – going outside. Can she do it?

Elsewhere, Gail and Eileen continue to wind each other up – really ladies, anyone would think he was Michael Douglas!

Wednesday 24th
Seeing that Zack has started to make progress with Shelley, and to Charlie's advantage, the builder feels like he’s losing control over his girlfriend.

During another session, Zack unearths several of Shelley’s problems. Charlie listens in and even seems to feel moved by her distress. He tries to turn the situation around by proposing to her – but will she accept?

Elsewhere and Phil has a go at Gail for dobbing him in to his manager. He denies having a relationship with Eileen, but tells Gail that he wants nothing more to do with her. Audrey tells Gail to apologise to him, but on her way she bumps into Eileen outside the corner shop and the pair come to blows!

Meanwhile, Adam passes his driving test and Kelly and Lloyd enjoy their date in The Clock – that’s until Kelly bumps into a face from the past…

Sunday 28th (x2)
Having nagged Les about getting her the ‘ring of her dreams’, Les trots off to try and find one.

First stop is Gail Platt, who he offers £10 for one of her many engagement rings! Needless to say, it doesn’t go down well with Gail and she chucks him out.

He then gets another bright idea – he visits the local police station and tells them that his fiancée has lost her ring and asks whether it has been handed in. As Les thought, the officer brings out a tray for him to look through and he picks out the biggest diamond there is.

But to his surprise, the officer arrests Les because the ring was stolen! How will he get out of yet another fine mess he’s got himself into?

Elsewhere, Adam buys a car at an auction and asks Candice to go for a drive in the country. But the fame-seeker is not impressed when first he turns up with a cheap bunch of flowers, and then his car breaks down!

Meanwhile, news of Shelley and Charlie’s engagement travels round the Street while Kelly confides in Lloyd about her shady past.

Candice changes her mind towards Adam (again) when he turns up on the Street in a swanky new car.

Is this the start of a budding romance between the pair now that the Baldwin heir seems to have ticked all Candice’s boxes?

Meanwhile, it’s Les’ 50th birthday, but he faces a present-less day as Cilla is still peeved that he’s not bought her an engagement ring. Determined to placate his fiancée, Les tries to raise the cash to buy her the perfect sparkler.

Over at the Rovers, Shelley does what we’ve all been waiting for when she opens up the Rovers following a confidence boost from her therapy sessions, and of course from her recent engagement.

But can she cope or is it too soon?

Elsewhere, Keith invites Audrey on a fishing trip (he’s obviously not heard of a romantic date then). Strangely, she accepts and Keith sets about trying to make the hairdresser is his catch of the day. Daughter Gail, on the other hand, attempts to make amends with Phil by asking him out for a meal.
