ITV1's new detective drama Vincent stars a number of familiar soap faces.

Corrie veteran Suranne Jones will be joined by Street colleagues Tracie Bennett, best remembered as Rita's money-grabbing foster daughter Sharon Gaskell, and Eva Pope, who played Weatherfield femme fatale Tanya Pooley.

And former EastEnder Joe Absolom has been juggling his time between that series and the second run of Martin Clunes drama Doc Martin.

In the former, he will play a keen junior private investigator called Robert, while Ray Winston is the eponymous sleuth and Jones is his sidekick, Beth.

Tracie Bennett's appearance follows on from her success in stage hit Sex, Chips & Rock 'n' Roll, while Eva Pope has also had her hands full in recent months.

Aside from working on Vincent, she has been filming the movie Splinter, a hi-tech comedy thriller in which she plays a psychiatrist.

Joe McGann, who portrayed Alex Wells in short-lived ITV soap Night & Day, also stars in the big-screen project.

The film has been written and directed by Kai Maurer, who played Dieter Shultz in the BBC's ill-fated 1992 soap Eldorado.
