That’s the way to do it
Weds, 7.30pm, 6th Apr
The girls show the guys how to party this evening as Deirdre and Ken have their hen and stag dos.
Deirdre and the girls hit the town with special t-shirts, piccies galore and smiles all round. But Ken’s evening is more like a normal night in the pub as he’s joined by Ray, Dev, Mike and grandson Adam.
It’s not long before the groom becomes the butt of jokes though as Deirdre’s past conquests have a dig at him!
Meanwhile, Chesney is anguishing at the thought of moving to Spain with Cilla and Les. But Roy and Hayley prepare him for the event by helping him learn the language.
Janice becomes the unlikely shoulder to cry on for Martin when she goes round to see him. He pours his heart out as he comes to terms with the end of his relationship with Katy and its consequences.
The wedding of the year
Fri, 7.30pm, 8th Apr
And no, we’re not talking Charles and Camilla here.
Instead, Corrie’s golden couple, Ken and Deirdre, finally tie the knot, for the second time that is, in an eagerly-awaited ceremony attended by one and all. :cheer:
As the big day arrives the Barlow house if full of action as the family prepare for the imminent nuptials.
Ray is in thoughtful mood and tells Ken that he wants to go into a hospice after the wedding.
Shunning traditional, Deirdre refuses to keep ken waiting too long, much to his relief, and the ceremony gets underway without a hitch. Phew for that! :love:
Meanwhile, Chesney takes Schmeichel to a photo booth to try and get him some passport photos. It’s no easy task though, and what does the little fella want them for anyway? Hmmm.
From happiness to heartbreak

Tragedy strikes Ken and Deirdre’s reception when Ray loses his fight for life. :nono:
Tracy is overwhelmed with grief and cuddles her dead father having just danced with him for the very last time.
It comes at the end of an upsetting day for the single mum for earlier that day she met Steve’s new lady, Louise, who told her that she needs to move on with her life.
Elsewhere and Lena gets a surprise at the garage when she finds Tyrone and Maria getting intimate. But the minx soon makes the most of her ‘situation’ when Tyrone tells her he doesn’t want Kevin to find out.
And finally, Chesney is gutted when Schmeichel’s photographs don’t turn out as planned. Will the little fella be forced to leave the love of his life at home?
Food for thought
Mon, 7.30pm, 11th Apr
When Jamie is held up, Danny takes his son’s girlfriend out to dinner – and it’s not just the food that’s hot!
As the two get chatting they admit that if they were single that they could quite fancy each other!
Everyone else on the Street seems to be in sombre mood.
Tracy is unable to accept Ray’s death and carries on her life as normal. It’s not long though before the single mum breaks down in tears at the loss of her father.
The rest of the residents are equally in shock and Shelley asks Ciaran and Charlie to be sensitive with the customers.
But as the Street quietens down for the evening, no-one can hear the black cab that pulls up outside number six – Katy’s back, but why? :hmm:
