The Killers and Mariah Carey are set to perform at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

Held on August 29 in Miami, the event will also boast performances from Green Day, Kayne West and Kelly Clarkson.

The Killers are nominated for four awards for Mr. Brightside, whilst Mariah Carey stands to win two awards for We Belong Together.

More perfomers are expected to be announced, according to MTV.com.

The killers are good, I also like the Libertines (shame they split), Babyshambles, Kasabian, White Stripes. There are so many great bands that have emerged which makes up for the years of rubbish music.:)
