I have always found this storyline uncomfortable viewing - Jack has never seemed to have time for Robert and since Andy arrived, even less. He has always taken the side of his adopted son over his natural son. Even when Andy killed Sarah, he covered for him and expected Robert to forgive Andy and get on with life - I can't help wondering where this relationship is going.
