Coronation Street producers have re-edited Ken and Deirdre's wedding scenes, to include jokes about Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.

The producers decided to order new scripts after it was announced that the royal wedding would take place on the same day as Ken and Deirdre tie the knot.

One scene will see Mike Baldwin comparing Ken to Prince Charles, and Deirdre to Camilla.

"We couldn't miss the chance to poke some fun," an insider told The Sun.
