I just hope EE's "new direction" isn't going to take them down the panto comedy direction - it's always been drama based in the past and in it's heyday that was recognised as it's strength. A balance is needed , but some of the other soaps are starting to go too far with the comedy and I hope EE doesn't follow suit.

This idea comes from John Yorke and the casting for the role as well so it's pretty obvious what he's trying to do. One minute it's stamping out the gangster plots and now this an absolutely excellent direction for the show to be going in, does anyone agree?

It seems since I made my post about changing EE, they're suddenly beginning to make changes I thought should be introduced. (Mabye they read the boards :D) EE is suddenly beginning to change and sounds like for the better. Things are really positive!

I read yesterday that eastenders is going to add some much needed humour starting with Dot cotton learning to drive. Apparently they are adding comedy because its often to miserable and needs a comic side. Dot learning to drive sounds like comic heaven to me. What do you all think?. Does eastenders need more comedy?. :clap:

yes sounds good as dot is a great character. ee certainaly needs more comedy and dot and her cronnies are all really funny at times.
