I heard on Virgin Radio this morning that Status Quo will be making a guest appearance on Coronation St and performing for Les and Cilla at their wedding.

This is going to be so funny.

Apparently Status Quo are going to play at a Corrie wedding. I presume it's Les and Cilla's not Ken and Dreary's. Should be fun!

Heard on the radio this morning that status quo star in corronation street for one episode - the cilla and les wedding episode. Don't know if theres any truth in this or not. Either way its not likely to just be a NICE wedding day, cilla and les are bount to show themselves up or there will be a good old battersby drama in there somewhere

Legendary rock group Status Quo will make a cameo appearance at an upcoming wedding in Coronation Street.

The band have been signed up to appear in a multi-episode arc for the marriage of Les Battersby and Cilla Brown later this year.

Actor Bruce Jones, who plays loudmouth Les, is said to be a big fan of the Quo, just like his on-screen character.

A spokeswoman for the soap told BBC News Online that they were "absolutely delighted" that the group had agreed to appear, adding a confirmation that they would feature in "more than one" episode

Supposidly Les and Cilla dont actually end up getting married as Les, on the day, gets cold feet and realises that hes still in love with Janice. Heard this ages ago in a soap mag but dont know how true it is since Cilla is due to stay in Corrrie for another year!
