Louise confronts Matt
Airing Sunday, 17th July 2005 at 19:00 on ITV1

Louise feels used and totally humiliated when she confronts Matthew over the fact that he is avoiding her and he harshly ends their relationship, revealing that he only went out with her for a bet.

Meanwhile Danny cajoles Len into going on a holiday to Whitby so he can cook for Libby and try his hand at wooing her.

ismissive reception from the Dingles who pretend they have not heard from Delilah. Jay, however, susses she is there and Delilah arrives home to find him locked in his own car, scared and surrounded by Dingles. Jay is keen to know Delilah’s reasons for running off, will she come clean?

Paddy pulls Rita Brannigan
Airing Monday, 18th July 2005 at 19:00 on ITV1

In the Woolpack Carl asks Louise if she is okay and she admits she has felt better. Sadie overhears and tells Louise she shouldn’t have been surprised Matthew finished with her as she hasn’t got the brains or the class to keep hold of man like Matthew. Louise is hurt and Sadie leaves with a cruel smile across her face.

Meanwhile, after a lads' night out in Hotten, Marlon and Paddy arrive back at the Woolpack. Paddy, minus a wedding ring, has managed to pull Rita Brannigan, a robust thirty-something. Once he is sure that Emily will have gone to bed, Paddy takes Rita back to Smithy Cottage. Trying to be as quiet as possible, clumsy Paddy knocks over a vase and wakes his estranged wife. What will she say when she sees Rita?

At the Dingles’, Zak insists that Delilah puts Jay straight as to how she feels. She tells Jay that she doesn’t want to be tied down. How will Jay take the news?

Emily sees Paddy has taken his ring off
Airing Tuesday, 19th July 2005 at 19:00 on ITV1

Rita apologises to Emily saying she didn’t know that Paddy was married as he didn’t have his wedding ring on. Emily grabs his hand and her face falls when she sees it is missing from his finger. Emily tells Debbie that she doesn’t want to live with Paddy anymore and Debbie, seeing an opportunity for a babysitter on tap, tells Emily to move into the Dingles’. Will Zak agree?

Terry warns Matthew not to go near Louise again before leaving for his holiday with TJ to Disney World. However Matthew is still smug when Sadie asks him if he’s driven his rival out of the village.

Meanwhile at the Dingles’, Zak tells Delilah that she has to contribute to the pot and she decides to sell her wedding presents to raise the cash.

Sam returns
Airing Wednesday, 20th July 2005 at 19:00 on ITV1

Zak is thrilled when Sam turns up at the Dingles’. Sam suggests to Zak that they go for a drink but is a bit deflated when the others invite themselves along as he wanted a private chat with his dad. What is the secret that he is hiding and will he be able to find a chance to confide in Zak?

Unbeknown to Marlon, a judge from the ‘Top Pub Chef of the North’ competition is dining at the Woolpack and Shadrach (Andy Devine) has his eye on her. Marlon soon realises she is a judge and is horrified to see Shadrach staggering towards her. Is Marlon’s dream of winning the competition over?

Laurel is annoyed that she’s on her own when Jasmine fails to turn up to help her run the Adult Literacy Class. Will Laurel tell Ashley about Jasmine’s behaviour?

Debbie and Jasmine fight
Airing Thursday, 21st July 2005 at 19:00 on ITV1

Debbie is upset to find Jasmine and Daz sharing a bottle of stolen crème de menthe in the cricket pavilion, and Laurel is shocked to arrive and find the girls fighting. She pulls them apart and is hurt when Jasmine remarks that she thinks Laurel won’t be around much longer. Ashley is too busy to hear about Jasmine’s behaviour and so Laurel tells Ethan what went on instead. He enjoys their closeness.

After a fishing trip, Zak suggests to Sam that he give Alice a call. Sam pretends to make the call keeping his finger on the receiver. Will he confide in his Dad as to why he is acting strangely?

Meanwhile Steph manages to convince Turner to give her another summer running the B&B.

Jasmine lets Laurel down again by not going to the airport to meet her dad. Ashley patronises Laurel about being a parent and she reveals to him that she wants them to have children of their own but by the time the Bishop finally comes round it may be too late. She asks him if she’ll miss out on the chance of having a baby so she can stay with him. Ashley is defeated.

Meanwhile Zoe has allowed Viv to see Jean on the condition that she comes alone and accompanied by Callum. Viv desperately tries to get rid of Callum to enable Scott to have five minutes with Jean. Suspicious Callum tells Viv her time’s up and he’s just lifting Jean out of her chair when Scott arrives. Callum pushes past Scott and leaves. Scott is upset and when Viv goes to comfort him he angrily shrugs her off. Callum arrives back at Home Farm and tells Zoe about Scott turning up. Has Viv blown it?

At the B&B Steph welcomes Dr Forsythe as a permanent lodger and in return he offers to help her with the decorating.
