The police catch up with Sarah and Scooter
Airing Sunday, 17th July 2005 at 19:30 on ITV1

Having got a taste of what Violet has to offer, Charlie wants second helpings. Violet, meanwhile, has managed to drag herself into work despite feeling disgusted over the events of the previous evening. She is hoping that she can just keep her head down and get on with her job, but she is horrified to find herself alone with Charlie once more and when he makes it clear what he is after she runs from the pub. Desperate to confide in someone, she finds a willing listener in Sean. Meanwhile Charlie is concerned when he starts to get calls from customers asking unusual questions.

Candice just can't believe her bad luck - dumping Warren when he got the sack only to discover he has a rosy future planned in Spain. Desperate to become Posh to Warren's Becks she tries to win him round - with his flight just hours away has she got time to get her man, and the life she dreams of?

Sarah and Scooter's plans to liberate the carp step up a gear as they put phase two into operation. Arriving in the botanical gardens, they prepare to release the fish into the lake - but the police are onto them!

Elsewhere, Maria and Kirk get some surprising news from their mum and dad.

Bev and Ciaran play detective
Airing Monday, 18th July 2005 at 19:30 on ITV1

Shelley had hoped to arrive back from the cosmetic surgery clinic without anyone noticing but Bev has other plans, and wants to know exactly what has been going on. As Shelley tries to get into the back door of the pub, Bev and Ciaran arrive to try and get to the bottom of her disappearance, and find out exactly why she is wearing sunglasses. Bev is horrified at what she sees and puts the blame squarely at Charlie's door once more. Will Shelley be able to persuade her this time that Charlie wasn't responsible?

The normally fiercely independent Blanche is struggling to come to terms with her dependence on Deirdre following her hip operation and is even more grumpy than usual. Keen to give her mother some pride back, Deirdre hits upon the idea of getting her a buggy to get to and from the shops. But Blanche is horrified at the thought of the contraption and when she has difficulty driving it, it is immediately consigned to the back yard and Deirdre is left to face the burden of Blanche once more.

What started out as a bit of fun for Danny and Leanne seems to be developing into something a little deeper as the pair enjoy their tryst at the hotel, but both know that it can’t go any further.

Elsewhere Sarah gets a caution for pinching the carp but Scooter refuses to plead guilty and wants his day in court.

Shelley stands up to Bev
Airing Monday, 18th July 2005 at 20:30 on ITV1

Bev is convinced that Charlie is behind the hideous bruising to Shelley's eyes and begs with her to leave him. But Shelley is determined to stand by her bullying boyfriend, oblivious to his mind games. She shows her mother the receipt for the cosmetic surgery to prove Charlie's innocence. Bev however is not won round and tells Deirdre that every bruise and scar is down to Charlie because that is what he has driven Shelley to do to herself. Charlie meanwhile is sick and tired of Bev's interfering in his love life and his business and decides to pay her a visit at her flat.

Violet is depending on Sean to stay by her side and protect her from Charlie, which he manages to do until Tim calls and Sean finds himself telling him that he has a got a dog and would love Tim to join them on a walk. When Tim agrees Sean abandons Violet as he tries to persuade Kirk to lend him a dog for his hot date!

Candice and Maria go clubbing but Candice realises that she is back to being a nobody when the VIP area at the nightclub is suddenly out of bounds without Warren on her arm.

Elsewhere Maria , Kirk, Tyrone, Fiz and even Les and Cilla fall out over the plans for the kennels.

Charlie and Ciaran come to blows
Airing Wednesday, 20th July 2005 at 19:30 on ITV1

After Charlie's menacing visit to her flat the previous evening Bev has reported him to the police. But when a female officer comes round to question him, Charlie manages to turn on the charm and convince her that Bev is the one in the wrong. Bev is stunned to find herself on the receiving end of a ticking off from the cops. Meanwhile, in the Rovers bar Shelley is horrified to find Charlie and Ciaran squaring up to each other – as Ciaran pins Charlie to the wall and threatens to punch him, Shelley sacks the barman and sends him packing.

Chesney sees the buggy in the backyard of Ken and Deirdre's and tricks Nathan into fixing it so that he and Sophie can take it for a joy ride. Les is less than impressed when he is almost knocked over in the alleyway but Cilla and Yana take a more than passing interest in the contraption.

Ken and Bob hatch a plan for a foursome date to the Clock. Deirdre and Liz are initially hostile but it isn't long before they are friends again as Bob gets them to call a truce.

Elsewhere Maria's parents disinherit her over her selfish and greedy attitude and Betty is run ragged by her new kitten.

Bev makes a pass at Ciaran
Airing Friday, 22nd July 2005 at 19:30 on ITV1

Bev offers to put in a good word for Ciaran at the Weatherfield Arms and they have a heart to heart in the bookies flat about Shelley and Charlie. Things are going well until Bev gets drunk and makes a clumsy pass at him again. He rebuffs her and realises he has had enough and doesn't need any more of this hassle. He packs his bags and leaves Weatherfield. Meanwhile, Charlie has disappeared for the day blaming Shelley for the latest incident with Ciaran, leaving Shelley alone and depressed.

Cilla's getaway takes a dive. Cilla and Yana decide to use the buggy for a spot of shoplifting. Yana goes to distract Deirdre at the front of the house whilst Cilla steals the buggy. In the supermarket they are hiding things under a blanket over Cilla who is driving the buggy. But they are spotted by a security guard who clocks Yana and he starts to tail them. Cilla puts her foot down but as they make their getaway along the canal path Cilla drives into a boulder and goes flying into the canal!

In Underworld Jessie's worried by Joanne's insecurity. Joanne fancies Nathan but doesn't think she stands a chance. The girls offer to give her a makeover.

Also on Coronation Street, Maria is still upset about her parents and the kennels. Fiz fuels this feeling when she tells them she and Kirk are moving to their parents’ house – rent free.

i will make the effort to wathc the friday episode just to see the panto dame fall into the canal!
