Terry confronts Matthew
Airing Thursday, 7th July 2005 at 19:00 on ITV1

News of Louise and Matthew’s affair spreads around the village leaving the residents shocked at her betrayal. A wronged Terry confronts Matthew and punches him in the face, before shouting abuse at Louise in the pub.

Louise seeks assurance from Matthew that she has done the right thing, but when he fails to give her the reassurance she needs, will she realise that she has made a terrible mistake?

Meanwhile, Val’s interior design dream is left in tatters when the bank refuses to give Pollard a loan. Refusing to give up, she asks Diane for financial help, but will her sister come to her aid?

Elsewhere, Bob is unsure that their plans to enter Marlon into a food competition are wise, but Donna remains undeterred and forges Marlon’s signature. How will the chef react when he discovers his girlfriend’s deceit?

Zoe confesses
Airing Friday, 8th July 2005 at 19:00 on ITV1

After much deliberation, Ashley visits Zoe ready to discuss the incident with Scott. Ashley is stunned when Zoe confesses that she tried to kill Scott and although she is adamant that it was self defence he is shocked further when she tells him that she enjoyed humiliating him. Ashley storms off in disgust leaving Zoe fearing that she has said too much. Will the vicar go to the police?

Elsewhere, Matthew realises that he must be there for Louise and Terry is upset as he watches them acting affectionately in public. Louise is hurt by the reaction from some of the villagers and Matthew comforts her half-heartedly, unsure of what he has got into and how he can handle it.

Meanwhile, Diane lets slip to Marlon that he has been entered into a competition and he is furious that Donna has gone behind his back. She eventually manages to calm him down and after much deliberation Marlon agrees to go through with it.

Zoe is arrested
Airing Sunday, 10th July 2005 at 19:00 on ITV1

Scott regains consciousness and tells his side of events to DI Warren, ensuring that a spin is put on his answers for the benefit of Viv, to keep her on-side. As a result of Scott’s statement, Zoe is arrested for attempted murder. However, can Scott rely on his mother’s support after telling his version of events?

Meanwhile, Laurel returns to Emmerdale and goes on the defensive when Ethan questions her about staying away longer than she had planned, assuring him everything is fine. Ashley tells Laurel he was nervous about her return and admits he doesn’t know the recipe to a proper relationship.

Elsewhere, Sadie returns to find Louise has installed herself at Victoria Cottage. Is Matthew as comfortable with the situation as Louise appears to be?

Tension grows between Dawn and Kelly
Airing Monday, 11th July 2005 at 19:00 on ITV1

Zoe is questioned by the police, and despite reiterating that Scott attempted to rape her, she struggles to maintain her composure when her schizophrenic episodes are brought up. When DI Warren questions Zoe about the Ketamine she struggles to answer and unable to defend her actions, is charged with attempted murder.

Elsewhere, Ashley and Laurel get rid of their tensions with a passionate kiss. However, they are interrupted by Jasmine who makes her disapproval very apparent. Has Laurel got a task on her hands befriending the teenager?

Also, tension continues to grow between Dawn and Kelly in the hospital. When Kelly gets Scott alone, will she admit her feelings to him?

Zoe visits Paddy
Airing Tuesday, 12th July 2005 at 19:00 on ITV1

Viv makes an unsuccessful attempt to disrupt Zoe’s hearing. Although she is granted bail Zoe later pays Paddy a visit and breaks her bail conditions by questioning him over what he told the police. Is Paddy prepared to continue to lie to potentially save Zoe from prison?

Meanwhile, Laurel’s attempts at making friends with Jasmine fall flat when Laurel takes her shopping and Jasmine leaves her behind at the first opportunity. Laurel tries to convince Ashley that it will be fine but is she trying to convince herself as well?

Elsewhere, Emily is entertaining Paul with some wine and snacks. Paddy is at work when he hears music blaring from the house and storms in to turn it off. However, he leaves after being embarrassed by Paul. How long can Paddy endure these less than ideal living arrangements?

Callum confronts Scott
Airing Wednesday, 13th July 2005 at 19:00 on ITV1

Paddy finds his day goes from bad to worse when his finances catch up with him. Unsure of where to lay his head he packs his bags and heads to Smithy Cottage. Paddy tells Emily of his plans but is she prepared to let him move back in?

Back in the village, Scott makes waves and things get heated when he goes to the Woolpack and is confronted by Callum after trying to talk to Zoe. Later he senses something is wrong with Dawn when she leaves the pub and so follows her home and apologises for recent events claiming he was conned by Zoe. Will Dawn be seduced by Scott’s charms?

Meanwhile, Sadie arranges a meeting with Ledbetter outside Butlers Farm, hoping to be seen by Jack. They are spotted and Jack promptly throws them off his land. Sadie and Ledbetter head to the pub where Jack sees them again and becomes increasingly suspicious.

Sadie and Cain share a kiss
Airing Thursday, 14th July 2005 at 19:00 on ITV1

Sadie receives several suggestive texts from Cain and he tells her he’s taken her car and to meet him on a dirt track. They share a passionate kiss but Cain drives off leaving Sadie dishevelled but full of desire.

Meanwhile, Matthew lies to Louise to avoid a lunch meeting and is becoming more infuriated with her attempts to make a homely life for them. Louise arranges to cook for him that night but will Matthew turn up or will a lads’ night out be more tempting?

Also, Paddy is finding Emily’s new set of ‘house rules’ hard to live by. Max comes up with an idea to get Emily to work at the vets’, but how will this go down with Paddy?

Delilah arrives

The Dingles are gobsmacked by the arrival of Delilah Dingle in a wedding dress. Despite their joy at seeing a car boot full of wedding presents, it’s clear there is more to Delilah’s story than meets the eye.

Cain and Sadie meet in the B&B for a passionate liaison. After much teasing, Cain tells Sadie it was he who killed Damon. Matthew sees Cain leaving the B&B and goes inside to find a devastated Sadie. He offers comfort and the pair share a kiss as it becomes apparent that there is a history between them. However, Sadie pulls away and asks Matthew to leave. Can Matthew offer more than a shoulder to cry on?

Elsewhere, Jack seeks advice from Pollard about the Kings application for a Compulsory Purchase order and his suspicions that Sadie is bribing Councillor Ledbetter for it.

Also, Pollard questions Sadie, who is unwilling to give him any facts but suggests he may be able to help her. Pollard cleverly confirms his suspicions of bribery to Jack, but will he admit defeat and agree to consider the King’s offer?
