I'm so pleased to hear Tessa's in remission. She looks very healthy and her short haircut really suits her. Nicole's one of my favourite H&A characters ever because Tessa played her so well and so entertainingly.

I wish her all the best for the future and hope to see her on my screen in the future.

Nicole was one of my favourite characters as well Dazzle. Tessa's husband, Nate Myles, plays Rugby League for the Gold Coast Titans (in Queensland) at the moment, but he has signed to play for the Manly club next year, so they will be coming back to live on the Northern Beaches of Sydney (where H&A is mostly filmed!). I know that she was over in the USA trying to further her career before she became ill, & although it would be a long shot, you never know we may see her back in the Bay sometime in the future!

Tessa James’ baby joy after cancer battle


SOAPIE sweetheart Tessa James is pregnant with her first child, the news coming three years after she battled cancer.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal the 26-year-old former Home and Away actor and rugby league player partner Nate Myles are overjoyed that she is around five months pregnant.

James covered her growing baby bump as she walked the red carpet at the David Jones Spring Summer fashion show on Wednesday night with her agent at Atelier Management confirming the pregnancy

“My main goal now is to be happy,” James previously said after undergoing intense treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2014 and 2015.

“I believe being consistently stressed creates bad health and I don’t need to put that on myself.”

James is well known and much loved to Australian television viewers for playing feisty teenager Nicole Franklin on Home and Away from 2008 to 2011.

The daughter of former Richmond AFL player Stephen James most recently appeared on TV drama Love Child and in local feature film, Spin Out.

James is extremely private and rarely speaks to the media. In September last year, she told the Telegraph: “I am excited, my life is exciting and I am in a really good place. I feel strong as a person and I am surrounded by really beautiful people. I am very much a believer that everything happens for a reason and that is my journey.”

IT is an incredible image to match the incredible story of Tessa James’ miracle baby.

The actor has opened up about her fairytale pregnancy, posing for a series of stunning pictures at 24 weeks for Elle Magazine.

“It was kicking the other day, it kicks like crazy, and it freaks me out because I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, I actually have something inside of me, I’m growing a human.’ It’s really bizarre,” the former Home And Away star told the December issue of Elle Australia.

“Being pregnant is a miracle because growing a baby, it’s pretty incredible when you think about it.”

It will be the couple’s first child and comes just three years after James, who fought non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, entered remission from the disease. She said that battle had given her a new perspective on life.

“Things are meant to happen the way they’re meant to happen,” the 26-year-old said.

“You can get very fixated on going from A to B to C to D, and things happening exactly the way that you planned it in your head. For me and for us, it just hasn’t happened like that at all and that’s actually really cool. It’s made me think it’s OK that didn’t quite work out, because I know that something else is going to happen. It’s meant to be.”

She announced the happy news on Instagram.

Former Home and Away star Tessa James has given birth to her first child with husband Nate Myles.

Tessa – who is best known for playing Nicole Franklin in the Aussie soap – announced the happy news on Instagram on Friday morning with a picture of Nate pushing a pram.

Quoting a line from Winnie the Pooh, Tessa captioned the photo: "As soon as I saw you I knew a grand adventure was about to happen."

Tessa confirmed her pregnancy news back in August, just two years after going into remission from cancer.

The actress was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma at the age of 23 three years ago and underwent chemotherapy treatment.

Shortly after revealing her diagnosis, she thanked fans for their "overwhelming" support. "I can't thank you enough. All my love."

Tessa has been married to professional rugby player Nate since 2011. She starred in Home and Away from 2008 until 2011.
