does anyone know - who the blond haired girl in the picture was? cos i thought that was his daughter but ruby looks nothing like the picture so it cant be her. does anyone know who she is?

no his daughter was called scarlet so he named it after her

Ruby's sister and mother died in a fire, it explains it all very clearly in the sentence.
