Michael is at his wits end with the now-permanent 'no referrals' policy. Ordered by Hanssen to send a guest patient to another hospital (rather than transfer them to Keller) he makes it his personal responsibility to ensure that they get there. But when there are no ambulances available he takes drastic action - with devastating consequences.
Serena unimpressed when she discovers that a recovering alcoholic is the primary candidate for a liver transplant. But when it then appears that they are no longer suitable to receive the organ, she clashes with Ric and fights for her patient to be given a second chance.
Mo is disappointed when Jonny reveals he cannot go to her family party because of his auntie’s birthday. Feeling bad, Jonny decides to try and set Mo up with Mr Thompson (her obstetrician). Mo is furious when she finds out what he’s been up to, especially when she realises he lied about his auntie’s birthday as he’s actually going on a weekend away with Jac.
