Monday, 27th June, 19:30
It's Jamie's 25th birthday and Frankie wants to make it a day to remember. Danny is more interested in making sure his eldest doesn't skive of work but promises Frankie he'll get him home in time for his birthday tea. Danny is intrigued to know if Jamie has heard from Carol but Jamie doesn't see why this birthday should be any different than all the others. Carol it seems has other ideas, and the Baldwins are stunned when she arrives just in time for tea!

Eileen finds thirty pounds in Sean's pocket and he tells her that he owed it to Angela and doesn't know what to do about the debt. Eileen suggests he take it and give it to Keith but the pensioner is not to keen to simply take the cash off Sean. In a bid to make him feel better, Sean offers to buy a stuffed cat off him - and immediately hits upon a way to amuse himself at Violet and Eileen's expense!

Rita and Emily are amused when they take a peek at Norris's attempts at a novel and start to wonder if he has based some of the details on his own life.

Meanwhile, Fred is furious when a he spots an insulting poster about himself in the window of a rival butcher's shop, and Ken discovers that peace and quiet is more elusive than he had thought.

Having got over the shock of Carol's surprise appearance at the birthday party, Frankie insists that Danny let her stay and enjoy the occasion with the rest of the family. It soon becomes clear that this was a big mistake and as the alcohol flows, the accusations start to fly, leaving Frankie in no doubt who Carol blames for the break-up of her marriage. Danny insists on throwing Carol out but Jamie can't bear to see his mum in this state and he and Frankie offer to take her home to Birmingham. Meanwhile, Leanne and Danny were never the type to waste an opportunity and while the cats are away the mice plan to play!

Ashley tries to make Fred see the funny side of Maddocks the butcher's poster campaign, but Fred is having none of it and vows to fight his rival all the way - even it means going to court.

Jason doesn't know what to think when Sean presents him with a ropey looking pet cat as a token of his esteem. He's even less impressed when he discovers it's actually dead!

Wednesday, 29th June
Carol's visit has really put the cat amongst the pigeons for the Baldwins. Frankie is furious that Danny had been to visit Carol without telling him, and Jamie is wishing he had never gone to see his mum in the first place. Danny, meanwhile, just wants to forget all the hassle and he knows a young lady who can help him do just that. But is Leanne in the mood for his fun and games today?

Sean had such fun with the stuffed cat yesterday that he has decided to play the same trick on the girls at the factory. Things get a little out of hand when animal lover Fiz grows seriously concerned about the cat's welfare and decides to call a vet. Sean is mortified, especially as Tim the vet in question is a rather attractive dark haired Irishman with an excellent bedside manner!

Fred is obsessed with the dirty tricks being played by Eddie Maddocks and wants to take a walk to see if any more posters have been put up. Ashley insists he will go instead, and despite pulling down another couple of posters, he tells Fred that Maddocks seems to have given up. However, Norris lets the cat out of the bag after seeing Ashley with one of the posters and Fred vows revenge.

Elsewhere Ken finds himself more popular than he would like and Norris decides to play a trick on his nosey boss and landlady.

Friday, 1st July
Sean is totally smitten by Tim the vet and has made it his mission to find out if he is straight or gay. The only way that he can orchestrate another meeting is to go to the surgery, and he realises he needs a cover story - i.e. a sick animal. Cilla realises that Sean is a desperate man and suggests he can take Schmeichel to his next appointment - at a price!

Frankie is still struggling to come to terms with Danny's betrayal - visiting Carol behind her back. But poor old Frankie doesn't know the half of it, and while she is pouring her heart out to Eileen, Danny is making plans to pick up where he left off with Leanne this morning.

Fred discovers that Eddie Maddocks has poached his meat supplier and goes round to have it out with him. Squaring up to his old adversary he tells him that he wants to sort things out in a gentlemanly way. Maddocks agrees - they will fight it out in the ring!

Elsewhere, Rita and Emily are a little disturbed when they sneak a peek at the latest installment of Norris's novel.
