yeh its well fun. well you bounce really! no you actually do loads of diff things, but exactly what you do prob depends on where you go. where i go, when i go to the adult session we just do our own warmups and take it in turns to practise what we want to and the coach walks round and helps/advises us. but when i go to the child session (even though its meant for 16 and under and im 17!), we do a warmup which insists of running round the hall a few times, various stretches and she sometimes makes us do situps and other things like that, but the way its done is actually quite fun. then we normally do a circuit thing on the trampolines. where i go we have 3 trampolines and the first person gets on the first one and does 10 jumps (like tuck jumps or something) then they move onto the next trampoline and do 10 other jumps (like straddle jumps) while the second person gets on the first trampoline and does 10 tuck jumps and so on. we usually do a few diff exercises like this then we all have a go at the routine and then we get split into groups with people who are at the same stage as us and we are given things to practise and the coaches come round and help us. at the end we are normally allowed to do a fun cooldowm activity like tag, where you all use the same trampoline and one person goes first and does a move then the next person does that move and adds another one on the end then the third person gets on does them 2 moves then adds a third move on the end and so on

well i started in january last year after my friend persuaded me that i should do trampolining as one of my sports for my gcse pe and to start with i only did it once a week for about 1hr15mins after school at school. then i started going on friday evenings as well as my friends mum is the coach at the trampolining club she goes to and she persuaded my to go along for 1hr30mins each week. then i started going on saturday mornings too for 1hr. so i went 3 times a week til my gcses finished then i only went twice after that. i havent been since november though as i injured my leg but hopefully ill be able to go back again in a few weeks but ill start by just going on friday evenings and only having a short go and build it up from there

I used to do trampolining and I loved it, and we do it at school sometimes (I did it for part of my gcse) but only for a few weeks a year. I want to start up again, do you do any awards or certificates and stuff because I'd like to do something like that.

i do enjoy it though, on the rare occasions when the PE teachers get out the trampolines, it's really good and i think this year, we can pick our own curriculum! yay!

yeh we were only allowed to use the trampolines at school in yr11 as they took so long to get out and put away. it was fun, though at school we werent allowed to do any difficult moves or anything in case we hurt ourselves and we hardly got any time on there either :(

Tori

we have done it in the past, but i'm hoping this year, we can go on them more!

di marco
29-08-2005, 06:38

Tori

well we only use them if GCSE have been using them. otherwise they are too hard to get out and out back in 1 lesson

well our pe lesson was in between break and lunch so we could get it out at breaktime and put it away at lunchtime. when we did trampolining for gcse pe we did it after school so we had more time

Tori

yeah... they often have double lessons for gcse so they can do it and then they leave them out for us!
