Former Waterloo Road star Tachia Newall has revealed new details about the show's online spinoff project.
As announced last November, Waterloo Road Reunited will explore the stories of departed characters now that they have left the school. Newall's alter ego Bolton Smilie is among those featured in the series.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Newall confirmed that there will be several surprises in store as viewers are given the chance to catch up with the former regulars.
"There's a baby, but I'm not saying whose; there's an MC battle; there's a mental breakdown; there's a marriage - so there's certainly a lot been going on for the guys," he said. "It's nice to be able to see the characters out of school."
He added: "Bolton is now a radio DJ and he's doing well for himself."
However, actress Lucy Dixon said that her character Danielle Harker has not had as much success since leaving school.
Dixon explained: "She thinks she's superior to everyone else and that a job should come to her rather than her finding a job."
The first episode of Waterloo Road Reunited goes live next Wednesday at 9pm on the show's official website. It will also be available to watch via the red button on BBC One.
