Actors John Simm and Philip Glenister, who both appeared in the BBC show Life On Mars together, have signed up to star in a new Sky1 drama.

The four-part drama Mad Dogs is expected to be broadcast next year.

Simm said: "I feel very lucky to be involved in such an exciting project."

The story is centred around a group of college friends, who reunite and go on holiday together, but it soon takes a turn for the worst and descends into murder.

Hotel Babylon star Max Beesley and Hustle actor Marc Warren have also been lined up to star in the show.

Glenister said: "I was looking forward to working with three of the best actors on the small screen, but they weren't available so I'll have to make do with John, Marc and Max. It's going to be a blast and hopefully we will come up with four hours of great TV drama."

Beesley said he thought the drama "promises to be a great piece of television".

Hi, Newcommer here! Name is Judder and I hope you are all keeping well.

Enjoyed the trailer for Mad Dogs so I can't wait to see the series. Sky News have been showing a clip of the drama and they played an old song called; Summertime. One of my favourites, but I can't identify the singer of this version.

I dont seem to be able to find a date when the series starts, can anyone help on that?

Will post again,
Bye for now.
