Sunday, 19th June 2005 at 20:50 on ITV1

Tracy is gutted to know that Blanche is selling number seven to pay for her hip operation as she presumed that she was getting the house as her inheritance. Meanwhile, unbeknown to her, Steve admits to his mother that he intends to manipulate Tracy into putting his name on Amy’s birth certificate. Liz is shocked at her son’s sneaky and underhand tactics and gives him a piece of her mind. He is happy to let Tracy think that everything is perfect between them both, but the truth is that he doesn’t really love her, he just wants Amy!

Over at the Rovers, Bev is delighted to discover that she has an ally in Ciaran who has had his doubts over Charlie for a while. Ciaran tells her that he saw Charlie put the frighteners on her and to be careful. But when Shelley discovers that Ciaran is in cahoots with her mother, she threatens to fire him if he dares to help her mother with her little games. Ciaran is shocked at Shelley’s unbalanced reaction.

And Leanne is worried that she has left one of her earrings in Mike Baldwin’s bed after a night of passion with Danny. She asks him to search for them as Jamie bought them and if Mike finds them first – the whole affair could be exposed! Will Danny find them in time before Mike gets back from Spain?

Shelley is terrified at the thought of facing her mother and Charlie is furious when she refuses to go downstairs. Shelley eventually manages to finally force herself out of her bedroom and demand her mother leave. Bev begs her daughter to realize the effect Charlie is having over her, but she dismisses her mother and tells Ciaran to throw her out if she ever steps foot in The Rovers again. Later on, a triumphant Charlie tells Shelley he wants to take her out to dinner, but she has retreated to the sanctuary of her bedroom and is horrified at the thought of leaving it again. Will poor Shelley be able to leave the Rovers without having a panic attack?

Over in Roy’s Rolls, Roy is upset that Tracy wants to remove his name from Amys birth certificate and doesn’t feel inclined to tamper with a historical document. But later on, Hayley gently talks Roy round as she realizes that he has Amy’s best interests at heart. She reminds him that they will always be there for Amy whether or not his name is on the birth certificate. Will Roy agree and let Steve be dad?

And Dev and Sunita have their first marital row. Lloyd has wound Sunita up so successfully that she has got it into her head that Dev will want her to keep breeding until he gets a son!

Charlie takes this badly and accuses her of turning into a control freak who hands out ‘favours’ when she feels like it.

Steve is still seething over Roy’s refusal to help over Amy’s birth certificate, and at the risk of seeming too anxious, he decides to tackle him again. Roy finally relents and offers Steve his help.

Tracy is confused by Steve’s extreme feelings and thinks that the main thing is that they are together forever. But later in the cab office, Blanche goes to see Steve about him buying number seven. Will he relent on his scheming and make her an offer?

Elsewhere in Weatherfield, Gail and Sarah clash over Scooter. The teen love birds are treating the house like a hotel, and Gail is really annoyed at their untidiness. The argument escalates until Scooter packs up and leaves with Sarah storming after him.
