EastEnders has failed to receive any Bafta nominations for the second year running.

The show has not been nominated for the award for Best Continuing Drama, the main soap award, after dwindling viewing figures in recent months.

Instead, the nominees are Doctors, Coronation Street, Holby City and The Bill.

Sky News quotes a BBC source as saying: "The show has been through a lot of changes. We expect to be back in contention next year."

I think The Bill deserves it after the recent episodes! :D

Shame about Easties though! :)

Thats a shame. I thought that EE has been very good lately with Dirty Dens murder and all that.

Can't believe Doctors has been nominated instead of EE

I bet Corrie wins the award again......

Even though i think EE has been below par since Christmas i still think it deserved a chance ,so i now hope the bill win it's been better than allthe soaps of late, but i doubt it,it seems to me it's been handed to corrie on a plat, and unless they go up against EE then they havn't won fair and square.
