cool pics! :) i liked that storyline too, good to see it the other way round, and also when max saw the leaflets and automatically thought tony was hitting mandy, it really showed how we would all jump to that conclusion when it may not be the case

I think Hollyoaks did a good job with this storyline, and handled it really well. It's a shame the Show is not rewarded more at the soap awards, etc, as i think they really try to tackle some serious issues sometimes, just as Brookside did. I feel the Show needs to be noticed more sometimes and maybe it would be, if it was screened in the prime-time slot, i.e. 8 or maybe 8:30 pm :searchme:

yeh i agree, they do handle some really serious issues well and i think that they do deserve some more awards. as well as putting it on at a primetime, i think they also need to introduce other characters that are of diff ages to encourage other people to watch it

Maybe if some older characters were introduced, this would interest them more. :)

they could introduce some people who are friends of the existing older characters, like sally and frankie

I wish I'd watched it now... I only saw one episode when the story was running. What I saw was good though!

I think they'd need to change its time to get more ratings - Sure, you'll get the young people from The Simpsons but to get anyone else you need it on at aboud 7/8.

yeh i agree that its on too early for it to get higher ratings but its aimed at teenagers/young adults in their 20s so thats why its prob on at that time, also i dont know if it would really attract that many older people cos the storylines are mostly teenage/younger people focused

Thats the thing with soaps, it all has to be carefully done because of when it is shown

yeh thats a good point. also, even if its on at a different time, then the issues are still more related to younger people. for example, the late night epis are still focused on younger people rather than older people

yeh ee and hollyoaks are my faves, dont watch any others apart from neighbours sometimes, corrie is a pile of trash. i was just saying that corrie and ee are the nation as a wholes top soaps, and it prob has something to do with the timeslots they have

I never used to watch Hollyoaks whenthis storyline was happening, could anybody tell me what caused Mandy to start hitting Tony in the first place?

She seems like a very nice, down to earth character from what I've seen, and that Tony just drives her mad.

hmmmmm i cant really remember atm, it might have been when she got pregnant and she wanted an abortion but tony wanted the baby and when she went for the abortion she found out she wasnt actually pregnant but she made tony believe she had had an abortion. or it might have started before that im not entirely sure. once i remember exactly ill tell you
