Yeah even though I don't like the character that much it'd be nice if she went to the Philippines rather than was killed off.

But this is Holby. :p Happy endings are never their strong point!

Holby City star Rebecca Grant has revealed that she is hoping to land acting roles in the US after departing from the BBC show.

The actress's character Daisha Anderson will be seen on screen for the final time later this month after a brush with death makes her realise that she wants to return home to the Philippines. Grant has already filmed her final scenes with the medical drama.

Paying tribute to her Holby colleagues, the actress commented: "It has been the most wonderful two years of my acting career. I'm grateful to the producers for throwing me into the deep end by giving me some of the toughest storylines to work on.

"All the actors have been great, they have been a dream to work with and [they] have given me the courage to pursue my acting career in the States."

Grant was first seen on Holby City in March 2008 and her alter ego Daisha quickly became known for her straight-talking nature.

Daisha will appear for the final time on the programme on March 23.
