Will 'Home and Away' be taking another break?

Home and Away returned to Australian screens at the beginning of this week after its extended annual hiatus owing to the Australian Open.

Due to the delay in Australia, this now means that UK transmission is only one week behind that in Oz - so next week's new season episodes starting on Monday on Five are actually still airing on the other side of the world.

That said, then, will UK broadcaster Five be taking an additional transmission break before its annual summer one?

A spokesperson for Five today told me: "Like every year, we will take a break in the summer. At the moment it is yet to be confirmed how long that break is going to be and when it will take place."

So for the next few months, enjoy watching Home and Away at almost Oz pace...

I reckon there will be a two week break at Easter, followed by a four week break for the olympics and possibly another break in the autumn.

Aww I hope it takes a longer break, I dont like the Uk being only a week behind
