The executive producers of House are reportedly considering creating a spinoff series of the Fox hit.
Show producers David Shore and Katie Jacobs have a "standing offer" from the network to develop another show, reports Entertainment Weekly.
"It could be a direct spinoff or a completely new show," Fox president Kevin Reilly said.
The creators previously scrapped plans for a House spinoff centred on the character of detective Michael Weston, but they haven't ruled out trying again.
"They have really high standards," Reilly continued.
He added: "These are not guys who commercially are going to chase something just to announce they have a spinoff and then figure out the show later on."
