Maxwell Caulfield has revealed that he would like to star in The Bill.

The actor, whose Emmerdale character Mark Wylde was killed off earlier this week, explained that he is a huge fan of the police drama.

"My wife Juliet and I love watching The Bill," he told Bang Showbiz. "It's pretty dynamic. I've never played a British cop, so I wouldn't mind doing that. Look at me lobbying for my next gig already!"

However, Wylde added that he doesn't want to appear in any celebrity reality shows.

"I've been invited on shows like Dancing On Ice and Strictly Come Dancing, but I'm a bit slow at choreography," he explained. "The ice dancing though - forget it! I split my skull playing rugby and wouldn't want to trigger those old injuries."

Earlier this week, Caulfield admitted that he didn't want his Emmerdale character to be killed off.

He is well suited to play a corpse :rotfl:

Judging by the state of the programme formerly known as The Bill I would say Maxwell Caulfield and his amazing wig would be ideal candidates for this pile of crap,

He can't get a role in The Bill. The rule is he has to get a part in Eastenders then move onto The Bill.

Read in next weeks TV Times that Caulfield fancies himself in the next Bond Movie toe to toe against Daniel Craig.

What a deluded fool this man is.
