I've always been a big Corrie fan but recently it seems it and ITV1 have got caught up in its own hype. The Killer Katy story is ridiculously done. The adverts gave away weeks before that a) Katys a killer b) when she kills c) who she kills. A whodunnit would be more exciting. Even now we know Katie will die and the Harrises will leave why bother watching or getting into it when ITV1's own adverts reveal the story? Also the characters chosed - The Harrises -never popular hence the axe, why would ITV1 expect 20million to tune in to a story with unpopular characters? As it turns out 13mill watched the murder but only 11mil bothered to tune in for the follow up.

The characters are becoming mere surreal as well. Sean singing "shandy" pushed back Gay Rights by 100 years. Cilla is a mere cartoon character. The new twins are wearing thin already.

The comedy stories are going on as well, the searching for Schmiecal lasting over 8 episodes, plus stories being repeated Chesney is left home alone next week - that happened last year!

Character flips - Sally, from mum to psuhy mum to adultress(?) why?

Thoughts?
