Tiger Woods has reportedly left hospital after being involved in a car accident.

The golfer's vehicle allegedly hit a fire hydrant and a tree as he pulled out of his driveway in Florida. An inquiry is being held into the crash. Local news outlets said that Woods was taken to Health Central Hospital.

The reports also stated that alcohol was not involved in the incident. The motor's airbags did not go off, which suggests that it was travelling at less than 33mph.

Although Woods's condition was initially said to be "serious", the local mayor has now apparently claimed that the star suffered cuts to his face and has left hospital.

The story was first reported in the Orlando Sentinel, which quoted the Florida Highway Patrol.

Tiger Woods is reportedly in a "good condition" following his earlier car crash.

The golfer was taken to hospital after crashing his vehicle into a fire hydrant and a tree in the early hours of this morning.

Initial reports claimed that Woods had "serious" injuries, but it has now been confirmed that he has left hospital after being treated for cuts on his face.

In a joint statement, the hospital and Woods's representatives said that "he was admitted, treated and released in good condition" following the "minor" accident.

Alcohol was not involved in the incident, which took place when Woods pulled out of his driveway in Florida. Police stated that he was driving so slowly that the motor's airbags did not inflate.

Meanwhile, the highway patrol have said that the crash is still being investigated and charges are pending.

There is something more to this story than meets the eye. How could a sober man drive out of his driveway and crash into a fire hydrant and a tree when he was only supposed to be travelling at a slow speed. Why did Mrs Woods have to smash a window with a golf club.

GOLF superstar Tiger Woods was knocked out for six minutes and suffered face injuries in a 2am car crash after a bust-up with his wife.

The 33-year-old was pulled from the vehicle by Swedish model missus Elin Nordegren after hitting a fire hydrant and a tree close to their Florida home.

Elin, 29, heard the accident and is reported to have rushed out of the house with a golf club to smash out the back window and pull Tiger clear.

The world's highest-paid sportsman was drifting in and out of consciousness with his wife hovering over him when cops arrived.

Tiger had cuts on his lips and blood in his mouth.

Police gave him first aid until he was taken to hospital about ten minutes later.

Sources said Tiger and beauty Elin had been arguing before the accident.

Reports in the US claim he has been cheating on her with party hostess Rachel Uchitel, 34.

Rachel is said to have followed Tiger around the world.

She was photographed at the same hotel where Tiger was staying while playing in the Australian Open.

Lawyers for the golfer have denied the allegations.

Tiger had not been wearing a seat belt when he crashed, shortly after pulling out of the driveway of his £15million home.

He smashed his face into the windscreen.

The air bags on his car, a Cadillac Escalade SUV, did not deploy, indicating he was travelling at a low speed.

Tiger, golf's world No 1, was released after 12 hours of treatment at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee.

Police said alcohol was not involved but charges were pending. Tiger could face a reckless driving rap or prosecution for not wearing a belt.

Gary Bruhn, mayor of Windemere where Tiger lives, said: "There were facial lacerations and he was treated. This was an accident - nothing special."

Tiger and Elin have two children Sam Alexis, two, and nine-month-old Charlie Axel.

A COCKTAIL waitress has claimed she enjoyed a 31-month affair with Tiger Woods - as cops today revealed they will be charging the golf legend with careless driving.
Jaimee Grubbs has told American magazine Us Weekly she met Woods in Las Vegas in April 2007 and has voicemails and text messages proving her affair with the star, who married Elin Nordegren in 2004.

The magazine claims Grubbs, who says she was 21 when the romance started, has over 300 texts from Woods who was involved in a bizarre early hours car crash last weekend outside his £1.7million mansion.

The beauty, who recently appeared on VH1 show Tool Academy, has gone on to claim she's had 20 sexual encounters with the star.

are waiting to interview Woods to see if facial injuries he sustained this weekend are consistent with a car crash - or a possible attack by his wife following a row.

The hostess alleged to have been romantically involved with Tiger Woods has denied the reports.

New York socialite Rachel Uchitel was linked to the golf superstar by a US tabloid, leading to speculation that she caused a fight between Woods and his wife that allegedly led to his car crash last week.

Speaking to the New York Post, she said: "This is ridiculous. Not a word of it is true. I told the Enquirer that it wasn't true.

"I told them not only did I have information to disprove the story but I offered to take a lie detector test. It is horrible to Tiger's family. His wife must feel horrible."

She added: "That's a horrible thing to read, 'Tiger's telling Rachel he loves her'. It's just so dumb. Tiger and I are not friends. I've only met him twice."

Woods, 33, issued a statement over the weekend pleading for privacy and referencing the "many false, unfounded and malicious rumours" that are circulating about his family.

Tiger Woods has issued a second statement following his car crash last week, publicly apologising to his family.

The golf superstar was taken to hospital with facial injuries after pranging his car into a tree and a fire hydrant outside his Florida home on Friday.

Tabloid reports had alleged that the crash happened following an altercation with his wife Elin.

In a statement, he said: "I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart.

"I have not been true to my values and the behaviour my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behaviour and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone."

He continued to reference the speculation surrounding his private life, saying: "The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious."

Woods added: "Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions.

"I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology."

Embattled athlete Tiger Woods all but fessed up to having strayed from his image as a family man in a heartfelt public apology on his Web site Wednesday.

"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," he writes. "I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect."

In the wake of a one-car accident last week, rumors swirled that the crash was somehow caused by allegations that Woods, 33, had had an affair behind wife Elin Nordegren's back. Despite Florida authorities saying they considered the case closed, scrutiny only grew – and another woman emerged, claiming she and the pro golfer had had a 31-month romance.

Woods, while not explicitly admitting to extramarital affairs, pleaded for privacy in his Wednesday mea culpa.

"I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family," he writes. "Those feelings should be shared by us alone."

Later, he adds: "Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions ... I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology."

According to the Sunday papers today, Tiger is addicted to sex  He is now seeking his thrills away from home because his golf game is not as good as it was since his injury etc. is the reason behind it. He just wants to have the cake and eat it, never mind hurting his wife in the process. Shame that some women don't care about that and give him more than just the time of the day.

Tiger Woods's wife has apparently moved out of their family home after a tenth  woman was reported to have had an affair with him.

Elin Nordegren, who has 2-year-old daughter Sam and 10-month-old son Charlie with the champion golfer, has allegedly moved from their mansion into a nearby house.

The golfer hit headlines when he crashed his car into a tree after pulling out of his drive on November 27. Soon after, it was reported that Woods had had an affair with club hostess Rachel Uchitel. He later apologised to his family for his "transgressions".

The tenth named woman is porn actress Holly Sampson, according to the Daily Mail.

Paramedics have reportedly responded to an emergency call from Tiger Woods's Windermere, FL home this morning.

According to TMZ, a middle-aged blonde woman was taken away in an ambulance.

The Orlando Sentinel says that following a rescue call at 2.36am from the Deacon Circle address confirmed by Orange County Fire officials, the patient refused to be taken to hospital.

However, TV station WKMG claims that she was transported in an ambulance to Health Central hospital while a separate blonde woman in a black Escalade followed.

Woods recently crashed his Escalade and the number plate of the vehicle allegedly spotted is said to be similar to the damaged car.

The gossip website also states that Woods is known to own a second Cadillac Escalade.

Tiger Woods has lost his sponsorship with global consulting firm Accenture Ltd. because the company feels the pro golfer is "no longer the right representative" following the "circumstances of the last two weeks," according to The Associated Press.

Accenture is the first sponsor to drop Woods following allegations of infidelity and his announcement to take an indefinite leave from golf to work on his marriage.

The New York-based firm, which forged a relationship with Woods six years ago, boosted its image significantly with its "Go on, be a Tiger" campaign.

"After careful consideration and analysis, the company has determined that he is no longer the right representative for its advertising," Accenture said in a statement released Sunday, adding that "it wishes only the best for Tiger Woods and his family."

Gillette, another Woods sponsor, said it currently is not airing advertisements featuring Woods for an unspecified time, but did not say they were terminating his endorsements.

News of the dropped sponsorship comes after a number of women have claimed to have had relationships with the 33-year-old since his car accident Nov. 27. Woods publicly apologized for his "transgressions" on his Web site on Dec. 2. and also dropped out of the Chevron World Challenge golf tournament he was set to host, blaming injuries from the accident. He most recently took to his Web site to announce his "indefinite break" from golf.

Other sponsors — Nike and Electronic Arts, among them — are sticking with Woods for now. AT&T has said it's evaluating its relationship with the golfer.

Tiger Woods's wife Elin Nordegren has allegedly hired a divorce lawyer and is beginning the process of moving out of their marital home

According to The Times, the Swedish former nanny has hired attorney Sorrell Trope, whose previous clients include Britney Spears, Nicole Kidman and Cary Grant.

Removal vans are said to have been seen outside the Woods home in Florida, with boxes and artwork reportedly being taken out.

Nordegren is allegedly hoping to file for divorce in California rather than her home state of Florida to benefit from the state's community property laws.

It was previously suggested that she was planning to return to Sweden after ending the marriage and could enforce a trial separation after Christmas.

Woods and Nordegren met in 2001 and married in Barbados five years ago. They are parents to daughter Sam, 2, and 10-month-old son Charlie.

Tiger Woods's sponsors have reportedly lost up to $12bn (£7.5bn).

According to E! News, economics professors at the University of California have examined stock market returns for Woods's sponsors in the days following his car crash.

The study took in 13 trading days and finished a week after Woods announced that he will take an "indefinite" break from golf.

The professors found that Gatorade, EA Sports and Nike, which has publicly expressed its support for the sportsman, were some of the worst-hit companies, losing a total of $6bn (£3.7bn).

However, Accenture, which decided to end its relationship with Woods, did not appear to suffer.

Tiger Woods has reportedly entered rehab.

The troubled golfer - who is alleged to have cheated on his wife with around 10 different women - has entered a private facility in Arizona for a reported addiction to sex.

"He has been there for a few days since his handlers forced him to enter the programme,” a source said told X17. "They feel that if he blames his cheating on addiction, the public will forgive him.

"Tiger wants to get back on top. He agreed to put golfing on hold so he could show the world how badly he feels about what he’s done and to prove that he wants to correct the problems that led to his infidelity."

TWO-timing Tiger Woods needed his face rebuilding after fuming wife Elin battered him with a golf club, it was claimed yesterday.

Furman Bisher, one of America's most respected sports journalists, said the nine iron smashed the golf legend's cheek bone - and his two front teeth were almost knocked out.

Bisher - described as the country's top golf writer - also claimed the injuries are the real reason Tiger, 33, has not been seen in public since his mysterious car smash early on November 27.

The retired writer claims his information came from a trustworthy colleague of Tiger's agent, Mark Steinberg.

Bisher said on his blog that Tiger spent America's Thanksgiving Day, November 26, exchanging texts with mistress Rachel Uchitel, 34.

He then went out to play poker with friends but left his mobile phone behind - and Elin read one of the messages.

Tiger returned at midnight and there was a "heated discussion".

Bisher wrote: "Tiger sat in a chair in the living room.

"Elin sat across from him, urging Tiger to just come clean. Tiger stayed to his guns and denied everything.

"At one point Tiger turned away to look at the TV and, as he turned back, Elin hit him on the right side of the face with the head of a nine iron.

"She put a huge gash in the right side of his face next to his nose, causing his nose to bruise some, virtually knocking two of his upper teeth out and breaking the bone on the upper right side.

"Tiger ran scared as hell out of the house, with Elin swinging the golf club, through the hallway to the garage."

The blog said that as Tiger tried to drive off, Elin smashed the car windows. He hit a tree outside their home in Orlando, Florida.

Bisher said the golfer took a private jet to Phoenix, Arizona, to see a plastic surgeon and cosmetic dentist for "intense" reconstructive procedures.

Allegedly, that was why he failed to meet Florida Highway Patrol cops on three occasions to discuss the crash.

Tiger has now been linked to at least 13 women and has publicly apologised.

His wife of five years Elin, 29, is said to have seen a divorce lawyer and spent Christmas with her family in her native Sweden.

Last night Tiger's agent Mark Steinberg told The Sun Bisher's claims were "patently false".

Tiger has previously denied Elin used violence.

Tiger Woods's wife has decided not to divorce him, reports say.

Elin Nordegren, who last week apparently visited the golf star, has changed her mind for the time being, according to Radar.

A source said: "She was happy when she came home, things went well.

"Elin has not filed divorce paper but has explored her options. Tiger sought treatment to save his marriage and so far it's working.

"The stress has taken a big toll on her. But she's a strong woman."

Woods is expected to address the shocking and sordid sex scandal that has consumed his life since late November then will return to the clinic where he has been undergoing therapy, according to a letter from PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem obtained by The Associated Press.

The letter shed no light on whether Woods plans to return to the tour anytime soon.

Tiger Woods has made a public apology for his recent behaviour, insisting that he is "deeply sorry" for his actions.

The golf superstar spoke to a small group of friends and members of the media in Florida this morning, marking his first public appearance since his November car crash led to accusations of infidelity.

"Every one of you has good reason to be critical of me. I want to say to each of you, simply and directly, I am deeply sorry for my irresponsible and selfish behaviour," he said.

"I was unfaithful, I had affairs and I cheated. What I did was unacceptable.

"I know people want to find out how I could be so selfish and so foolish. People want to know how I could have done these things to my wife Elin and to my children. And while I have always tried to be a private person, there are some things I want to say."

He continued: "Elin and I have started the process of discussing the damage caused by my behaviour. As Elin pointed out to me, my real apology to her will not come in the form of words, it will come from my behaviour over time. We have a lot to discuss, however what we say to each other will remain between the two of us."

Woods went on to say that he was aware that his behaviour had "disappointed" his friends, fans, business partners, staff and sponsors, and revealed that he had spent the past 45 days receiving "guidance" for the issues that he is facing.

The athlete continued to deny reports that Elin had attacked him on the night of his crash, insisting that "there has never been an episode of domestic violence in our marriage" and that Elin deserves "praise, not blame". He also pleaded with the media to leave his wife and their two children alone.

He added: "I plan to return to golf one day, but I just don't know what day that will be. I don't rule out that it will be this year."

Kirsty Gallacher has hotly denied allegations that she was one of Tiger Woods's lovers.

The 34-year-old TV presenter - daughter of former Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher - had been linked with Woods on several websites after news broke of the world number one's string of extra-marital affairs.

But Gallacher has insisted that while she is a good friend of the golfer, she was never one of his mistresses.

"It was all speculation and it was all incorrect," she said. "It was very upsetting.

"I knew I was being talked about and that's why lawyers were involved. But what you do in this job is you get quite strong because you know things will come at you.

"And I've always had the support of family and friends. We've all had the rubbish thrown at us but you deal with it."

Earlier this week Woods announced that he will make his return to professional golf at the Masters in Augusta next month following a four-month self-imposed exile from the game.

The return of the fourteen-times Major champion is hotly anticipated, with US host broadcaster CBS expecting higher viewing figures for the tournament than achieved by the inauguration of President Barack Obama.

Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren have divorced, the couple said in a statement posted on the world number one golfer's website.

"We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future," the couple said.

They said they planned to "share parenting" of their two children.

News of the split comes nine months after a car crash outside Mr Woods' Florida home set off revelations that he had been unfaithful to Ms Nordegren.

Details of the financial settlement have not been disclosed, but US media reports suggest the former Mrs Woods will receive over $100m (£64.4m).

The divorce was finalised in Florida by Bay County Circuit Judge Judy Pittman Biebel in what was described as a brief hearing in which both Mr Woods and Ms Nordegren were present.

“Woods has been a rather more distracted figure than the one we have been used to seeing on the golf course, and of course his results have reflected that”
Iain Carter BBC Golf correspondent

Correspondents say the agreement is almost certain to have included a secrecy clause surrounding the circumstances leading to the crash which left Tiger Woods seriously injured and after which he publicly confessed to serial infidelity.

BBC golf correspondent Iain Carter says that golf insiders had "guessed... that divorce proceedings have been underway for quite some time".

"Woods has been a rather more distracted figure than the one we have been used to seeing on the golf course, and of course his results have reflected that," Carter said.

The couple married in October 2004 in Barbados and have a 3-year-old daughter, Sam, and a 19-month-old son, Charlie.

'No longer married'

In November 2009 Mr Woods, the world's wealthiest athlete, was involved in a single-vehicle accident outside his Florida home.

Soon after, several women came forward and claimed they had had affairs with Mr Woods.

Mr Woods, 34 subsequently lost several major sponsors, including AT&T Gatorade. In February he publicly apologised and admitted that he had been unfaithful to Ms Nordegren, a former model.

In a statement released by their lawyers on Monday, the pair asked for privacy "as we adjust to a new family situation".

"While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us," the joint statement said.

"Once we came to the decision that our marriage was at an end, the primary focus of our amicable discussions has been to ensure their future well-being. The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them."

Mr Woods, bidding to make the US Ryder Cup team as a "captain's pick" is poised to play this week at The Barclays golf tournament in New Jersey.
