Karl is racked by insecurity about his relationship with Izzy when he invites her to drinks with some of his doctor friends and she lies to avoid them. Karl expresses his concerns to her; that she isn’t putting any effort into trying to establish a new basis for their relationship at all. Izzy assuages his fears and agrees to the drinks, but makes no effort to be sociable when she’s there. Again Karl is forced to call her on it, and in response, Izzy turns on the charm. Whilst Karl is pleased that she charms his friends, it’s hollow. After consulting with Max, he decides there is only one course of action. He decides to set a date for the wedding. Will Izzy agree?

Lyn becomes suspicious about Charlie’s condition when Charlie, Steph and Doreen prove evasive on the topic. Her worst fears are realised when she bumps into Charlie and Doreen after they’ve visited Karl’s surgery. Charlie’s at death’s door, and he’s come to Erinsborough to die surrounded by family. Lyn is heartbroken and angry that Charlie can give up so easily. Her hurt escalates when she realises that Steph was in on the secret. Charlie is sympathetic to Lyn’s point of view, but he’s tired of fighting and simply wants to rest. When Lyn seeks Susan’s advice, she is made to realise that sometimes love is all about letting go. Turned around by Susan’s advice, Lyn vows to be there for her father during this difficult time.

Harold and Lou can’t decide on what exactly they’ve discovered at the bottom of their hole, and subsequently, Lou is loath to report it. But Harold’s sense of civic duty is too strong and he calls the police. Lou is hoping that the whole thing will blow over, but the police want to interview both Lou and Harold on the matter. What will come of this gruesome find?

24th February

When Izzy is unable to give Karl an answer to his proposed quick wedding date, Karl is left feeling very insecure. However, after Jack points out to Izzy that Karl can give her loyalty and stability, Izzy finally relents and agrees to marry Karl. Because she doesn’t love Karl, however, it’s a decision that doesn’t sit well with Izzy and she finds herself trying too hard to convince everyone that she’s over the moon. Her sensitivity on the issue emerges when Susan makes a genuine congratulatory speech, and Izzy flies off the handle, accusing Susan of being smug. Its clear Izzy is not at peace with her decision.

The moment Connor has been dreading arrives when Nick and Lori come to collect Maddy for their new life in Adelaide. Connor is crestfallen and Carmella, harking back to Toadie’s information earlier in the week, advises him to exercise his paternal rights and virtually kidnap Maddy. Although Connor refuses at first, his heartache over losing Maddy forever finally wins out. When he gets a chance, Connor snatches Maddy and runs away with her in his arms.

Lil wants a raise and she is convinced by David to earn it by showing Karl how indispensable she can be. Lil complies a new job description, promising to do all manner of extra duties to justify a wage increase. She is hoist on her own petard, however, when Karl offers her the wage before he peruses the list. Lil has made promises she didn’t need to keep and she’s not too happy about it.

25th February

Having just stolen Maddy from her pram, Connor waits at Number Thirty with Stuart, Toadie and Carmella for Nick and Lori to arrive. When they do, the fireworks begin. Connor pleads his case and Lori angrily lashes out at Connor for his irresponsible act. During the fracas, Lori sees Nick’s selfish side and it’s enough to make her wonder if he really has Maddy’s best interests at heart. Realising the depth of Connor’s love for Maddy, Lori eventually decides to stay in Victoria and continue life as normal. Connor could not be happier.

Sindi and Stuart remain sensitive to Toadie’s feelings by keeping their attraction for each other at bay. Stuart and Sindi lock horns during a car shopping expedition and Stuart is relieved to discover that he and Sindi are too different to be a couple. He voices his disdain for Sindi to Toadie, who confides that he was worried Stuart would break the mate’s code and date his ex-girlfriend. Stuart laughs off the suggestion. It’s clear however, that Stuart is trying to convince himself. When the opportunity presents itself, Stuart and Sindi finally demonstrate their love.

Summer models her formal outfit for Steph and, even though Steph finds it highly inappropriate for a girl Summer’s age, she meekly gives the outfit the thumbs up. When Max finds out, he is forced to remind Steph that she’s Boyd and Summer’s mother now and that means she sometimes has to be the bad guy. Steph prepares herself for the difficult transition from friend to mother.

When David discovers that their sister city in the USA is making a video diary, he decides to do the same.

28th February

Sindi and Stuart make love but are quickly forced to remember how much a union between them would hurt Toadie. In an effort to appease his guilt and atone for his sins, Stuart agrees to go out on a girl-hunting expedition with Toadie. Although he’s not into the spirit of the night, Sindi catches Stuart getting fresh with another girl and it breaks her heart. Unable to keep up the façade any longer, Stuart announces that he’s going to tell Toadie about his love for Sindi. But Sindi, who wants to spare Toadie’s feelings, begs Stuart to hold off.

Boyd feels uneasy about Serena’s growing feelings for him and he also feels guilty for seeing her secretly when he knows Stingray fancies her. During the formal, Boyd can’t take his eyes off Sky and he realises that he needs to set Serena straight. However, when they’re alone, Serena makes it clear that she wants to go all the way with Boyd and, realising that he and Sky are doomed anyway, Boyd is left to seriously consider the offer.

Stingray is overwhelmed when he gets a “B” for his end of year report, but he is forced to put aside his ambitions when Janelle announces she’s found him a job at the Colac supermarket. Stingray tries to make the most of the rest of his time in Erinsborough and he attempts to win back Serena’s heart at the school formal. Meanwhile, Susan asks Janelle to let Stingray stay in Erinsborough, but she refuses to budge.

Lana worries that some of the footy boys from school intend to play a prank on her at the formal. Sky hints that she has a bigger prank lined up for them.
